WE’RE HERE TO PROVIDE THE BEST METAL RECYCLING IN DENVER
We are a close-knit group of friendly folks who care about what we do. So when you call for service, price quotes, or account questions—or when you drive through our gate—we’ll be here for you.
Murray, Alan and Michael Cohen, Owners
As the owners of Iron & Metals, we obviously have many responsibilities. But none is more important to us than making sure you’re getting the exceptional service and fair treatment that will make you a lifelong customer or business partner.
As our founder, mentor, father and grandfather Bob Cohen often said, “You can never make a bad deal with good people.” We like to think he still watches over things around here, and we work every day to be the “good people” to whom he referred.
OUR COMPANY PHILOSOPHY: “WHAT IS A CUSTOMER?”
- A customer is the most important person ever in this office…in person, by mail or by telephone.
- A customer is not dependent on us…we are dependent on him/her.
- A customer is not an interruption of our work…he/she is the purpose of it.
- We are not doing a favor by serving a customer…he/she is doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so.
- A customer is not someone to argue or match wits with…no one ever wins an argument with a customer.
- A customer is a person who brings us his/her wants…it is our job to handle them profitably, to him/her and to ourselves.
Michael Yourtz, Vice President, Commercial Accounts
If you’re a current customer, you’ve probably met Michael. As our primary account rep, Michael makes sure you have the containers and service set-up you need to make your metals recycling as convenient and profitable as possible.
With two decades in scrap operations and purchasing, Michael knows his metals. That makes him very valuable to you as a scrap consultant. He is happy to visit any time to quote a clean-up or go over your current industrial service.
The bottom line: Many of our competitors employ “newbies” in this position – but IMI customers get our most experienced and knowledgeable scrap buyer.
Tap Sittiseri, Vice President, Non-Ferrous Division
Not only is Tap one of the friendliest, funniest guys you’ll ever meet, he has also become one of Denver’s premier scrap buyers. In part, that’s because we put him through the ringer with training: sorting, cutting, baling, grading and operations were his introduction to the business. We believe strongly that buyers need to know exactly what each grade of metal contains, how we process it and sell it, and the exact value of each item. Knowing his metals inside and out helps Tap offer you the best pricing possible, along with accurate, honest grading of all materials.
When you drive in with a load of copper, aluminum, stainless or other metals, Tap will grade and price your material, and direct you around the yard for safe, timely unloading.
The bottom line: Whether you’re a regional wholesaler, a hard working scrap peddler, or a plumber with a pick-up full of copper tubing, Tap will treat you with the honesty and respect you deserve (and that keeps you coming back).
Jacinda Stinson, Dispatch Manager
Jacinda has been dispatching our trucks ever since Wanda, our 30-year veteran, announced her retirement a couple years ago. In that time, Jacinda has picked up right where Wanda left off, making sure your containers get switched accurately and quickly when you call for service.
As Dispatch Manager, Jacinda is the heart and soul of our customer service. She has been essential here at IMI for a dozen years, and now she’s quickly becoming “family” to many of our customers as well. Any customer who has called at the last minute to get a scrap bin switched out, requested a container for a clean-up, or asked to schedule a specific service appointment knows just how accommodating and professional Jacinda is.
The bottom line: Nobody in the Denver area is as committed to scrap pick-up service as IMI, and Jacinda makes sure we stand head and shoulders above our competition.
Brian Froid, Yard Foreman
When you deliver a load of scrap, Brian is the guy who inspects the material and directs you where to unload. He’s been with IMI for 25 plus years, so he knows our scrap piles like the back of his hand. Brian communicates with Erin at the front counter about what you have, and what it’s worth. Best of all for you, Brian understands our philosophy that we don’t try to make every possible penny on every possible load. Instead, we want to build a repeat customer base by treating you fairly and with respect.
The bottom line: Brian will help you navigate our yard safely, and he’ll go over your load to let you know what it’s worth, and what you could do to get the most money for your material.
